. For several reasons I stopped, the most important one is that some sites/magazines posted/published my pics without permission. When I tried to contact the authors they did not reply (and did not remove my pics)... In my opinion that sucks. Other reasons for stopping is that my laptop (with PS on it) broke and hectic years at home.Anyway, on november 2nd I landed at Osaka. The weather was great that saturday and it would stay sunny for 10 days non stop. The goal for the trip was to catch operational F-2's at Tsuiki. I only shot some slides in 2002 and some digital pics during airshows in the last years. Furthermore I was hoping for Southern wind for Iwakuni and activity at Kanoya. It became a bit off a stressfull trip with too many kilometers, not much sleep and some car problems (parking tickets, invisible streetsigns that hurt the bumper and being chased on the highway by an under cover police car).
The saturday that I arrived I visited some wrecks and airfields. The highlight was Yao because the JSGDF was flying this day. The day after I visited Akeno Airshow. It was a great show, I did not expect so many helicopters to fly. I stayed outside from 7 in the morning and light conditions were great. I went on base for a quick visit after the show ended. At 7 all the helicopter were already towed outside and an hour later they were flown to their spots on the other site of the airfield for the massflight. A theme during the show was the retirement of the OH-6, by now they should be withdrawn.
Hope you like the pics. I use Photoshop CS6 now and bought a nice iiyama monitor but I do not know if the colours are ok, they look great on my screen but I do not know how you see them so tips are welcome

. This news was a bit of a dissapointment…. The only option for the next day would be to drive to Iwakuni for the USN based aircraft there. It turned out to be a good day! I under estimated the 500 km drive and visited some wrecks and relics on the way... 200 kilometers before Iwakuni I got so tired and decided to sleep in my car for a few hours on a highway parking lot.
