Post by KIER »

There is a flyer for people visiting Waddington during the Cobra Warrior exercise next month.

£5 for parking at the WAVE.

And NO Stepladders around the whole base near the fence.

Parking on the side of all roads near the base is FORBIDDEN

According to a post on Facebook;

Exercise Cobra Warrior at RAF Waddington in September will see support aircraft arriving from mid August and most jets arriving around the 1st September, with a few before.

Not yet. Nothing to do with Brexit, really.

There is likely to be all sorts of trouble with communist and other agitators around the base, as one of the links to a communist publication on this thread makes clear.

Once Brexit has been implimented, foreign nationals, and other suspect individuals could be banned from being near the base during certain exercises, in a similar manner as the United States operates.

There have been instances of base security being breached by "peace protesters" during previous exercises and operations.Should this happen again with any luck those breaching security will be shot. Those who choose to challenge military security need to be aware of the consequences of their actions.

** Edit,

Why absurd rules?.

1 You or anyone else DOES NOT have some God-given right to photograph aircraft at any military base here. Any presence of members of the public viewing the base is tolerated, but can be curtailed if appropriate authorities so desire. The letter of the law specifically forbids photography of military installations and other designated sites or anything therein.

Given the sensitivity of the base on a normal day, let alone during an exercise with a country that has been the target of many terrorist attacks, and extremist groups who are allied to the countries instigating terrorist attacks in Britain are aware of this deployment, certain measures to guarantee a secure environment for all concerned have to be expected.

You think the (say ) French or Italians would be any more tolerant?. Well, good luck with that one. If you have a problem with any of this, stay away. Your presence will not be missed.

Oh and as for Brexit, our new government are tightening up immigration rules for who is to be allowed into the country from November 01, so maybe US style immigration procedures will be adopted, with undesirables banned from entry.

Well, anyone stupid enough to try to enter (or actually enter) what is already a high security base deserves all that is coming to them-and that includes the use of lethal force. First line of defence is likely to have a chunk of thenselves bitten off by the K9 force ( known as land sharks for good reason), should that not stop them, there will ne little alternative but to use potentially lethal force.

There have been instances of treapass at sensitive locations in the past in the UK, and no doubt the authorities will be fully prepared for the worst.

Hopefully this exercise will pass off without any trouble, but there are extremist elements in this country who have a different aganda.

There is information circulating
that we are introducing a charge for using the Wave viewing area car park.

This information is not true.

The Wave is free for anyone to use within its opening hours,
although we may have to introduce restrictions if the area gets too busy to help ensure everyone’s safety.

Please can all visitors abide by the instructions given by RAF Duty Personnel
and the Civilian Police so all visitors can have an enjoyable visit.

will probably not happen anymore. It is too late now to start "vetting" people... :|

Are you sure that the IDF/AF will be sending F-15I's instead of A-D's?
