LOG: Royal Saudi Air Force Museum - Riyadh

Post by KDoughty2 »

It has only taken me three years to finally get around to visiting this small but very interesting museum which is located in the North east corner of the Riyadh Air Base, off the Eastern ring road.

The museum is open (Sunday - Thursday) 08:00 - 12:00 & 16:00 - 20:00 (Friday & Saturday 16:00 - 20:00 and cost a mere SAR10.00 (£2)

The museum has a number of exhibits outside which you are free to wonder around and an indoor display hall with the exhibits tightly packed in.

Photography is allowed inside and out, however be mindful of the security guards around the base fence when pointing your camera at the many PC21s taking off and landing at the base

>>HZ-AHP Tristar (Full White & Green Saudia cs)

This bird now has Vision 2030 stickers applied all over. When I mean stickers, it is covered fully in stickers. About 90% of the plane.
I went there yesterday to photograph it but forgot that the museum is closed on Tuesdays!!! I'll go again this Sunday to get the shots.
