BEN GURION INTL AIRPORT LLBG Friday 3rd Nov 15.00

Post by Starman »

Hello

As most of you will be visiting Israel next week I though you might like to know what there is to see at Ben Gurion airport. Most of it is tricky from outside, but if you have an F seat (or a K on a real aeroplane) at departure, you might taxi past the famous IAI "Fighter Store"

From the southern end working anti-clockwise:

A-4s 240, 394, Mig-21 AF930, A-4 274, AF923 Mig, then 3 more A-4s 380 plus 358 & 333 in primer.
Across t he back Mig-21s N75085304, N75097455, F-16B 986 as "313" (Paris code), a MI-24, F-16s 983, 745 Mig-21UM 516999499 and two more Vipers 776 & 728. North side 9211 Mig-21bis, Kfir 546 (most of the Kfirs have many parts removed for the rebuilding of others), 794 Kfir "12", 9799 Mig-21, 890 Kfir, 516999319 Mig-21UM, 935 & finally 709 Kfirs. In their midst is a civil Mi8/17(which has been on the cover of a famous Dutch aircraft magazine).

At stand B39 is the Let-39 4X-CFM and on the IAI ramp is Seascan 931. If you are very lucky you'll spot Kfir 537.
