I have two pictures of the German Eurofighters, one that can be used. I have a photo of the Polish C-130, but I'm but I'll pick it up in the afternoon..

Interesting planes, good shots! But the editing... There's a difference between applying a subtle HDR effect and creating cartoon pictures.

Yes. I only have HDR effects on some pictures.But what about Hesja's picture? Only HDR and photoshop effects are visible, there are no original pictures ..

Please consider the following positive criticism on your photos Istvan.
The site from hesja has some seriously nice photos, and he uses the digital options he has to create shots in the way paintings are made. In my opinion he tries to bring his feelings about the situation to the viewer. For example one of his warbird shots was altered to make it look like an old photograph. All the effects are used with a reason, and always leave a nice photo for the viewer (if you like them all is a personal preference, but that works for every piece of art)

I had a nice debate lately with someone about this kind of stuff, and I think it applies to the situation here very well. In my opinion there are two major categories to take pictures and edit them.
The first is the category most aircraft photographers use. Take a shot of a landing plane, improve it by editing, but the shot remains a shot of a landing plane. Most of your shots are like that. You capture the subject, edit your shots, and that's it. This is the way I usually take my shots, and I consider nothing wrong with that.
The second is the way hesja.pl does it. You take a shot from a (part of a) plane, but you keep an eye out for the rest of the image, and use editing to create a work of art.

Now, combining this with the remark Trabanti makes, and I agree on, you take good shots in the first category. Now I add my own opinion to your photos, and you can completely ignore it as you wish, as with any criticism: in your editing you apply so much HDR to some of the pictures, that the photo is just not nice to watch anymore.

In general, I always keep an eye out for your postings Istvan, because you seem to visit air forces I can't see a lot of, which makes your pictures interesting by subject alone. So, again, please consider all of the above as a piece of positive criticism, do with the comments what you want (ignoring them, taking them into consideration, applying it to your photos, all are absolutely fine) and keep the photos coming!

There was the smile ..
I prefer to show the photos I see. Sometimes I experiment with HDR, but I only modify it with white balance and cut the images. I also work as a journalist for the Hungarian Haditechnika (Military Technology)Magazin, so I do not share the picture with the picture. Sometimes, however, I play a bit with the pictures, but I do not send them to the newspaper/magazine and I do not consider them as authentic images.
