Nonetheless, without any news on a spotters day we'll have to settle for the beach demo which will probably be backlit for the most of it.

Good morning

The central events of the Naval Aviation Centenary will take place on the 15th and 16th of September. The schedule of activities will be as follows:

- September 15th: Military ceremony in Rota Naval Base attended by a High State Authority. There will be an air parade and an exhibition of air assets on the ground.

- September 16th: Air Show at the ‘LA COSTILLA’ Beach in Rota, with participation of air elements from other navies, armies and organizations. The aircraft will take off from warships deployed in adjacent waters. The Air Show is open to the general public.

A press conference will be announced well in advance with instructions for the necessary press accreditations.

Surely it is an important milestone for the Spanish Navy, but the armed force did not give much emphasis to the event... I have tried to contact their press office many times, but I got a few info as well as for other past events.

Nothing really new

I also asked some time ago.
But is not clear spotters will be able to visit Rota on the 15th.
The show at the beach/sea looks interesting, but you are facing south, so no good for photography.

They keep repeating the same (above) message now. NO mention of this anymore (which they said in February):

There will probably be a spotter´s day for photographers to take pictures, but we don´t have the details yet.

S.M. el Rey preside el acto conmemorativo del Centenario de la Aviación Naval

S.M. el Rey presidirá el próximo viernes día 15 de septiembre, en la Base naval de Rota, la conmemoración del Centenario de la Aviación Naval. Don Felipe estará acompañado por la ministra de Defensa, María Dolores de Cospedal, y por el Almirante Jefe de Estado Mayor de la Armada, almirante general Teodoro López Calderón.

Los medios de comunicación interesados en cubrir la información deberán acreditarse antes de las 12:00 horas del miércoles 13 de septiembre en la dirección de correo:

prensa.defensa@comdef.es

Deberán indicar:
o Nombre, apellidos y DNI o pasaporte
o Medio para el que trabaja

Las acreditaciones se entregarán – previa identificación personal- en la Puerta del Salado de la Base Naval de Rota (acceso Puerto de Santa María) entre las 10.30 y las 11.00 horas del viernes 15 de septiembre.

Tras el cierre del periodo de acreditaciones, 12 horas del miércoles 13 de septiembre, no será posible realizar modificaciones, sustituciones o ampliaciones.
Sólo se admitirá un equipo por medio de comunicación.

Después de las 11.00 horas no será posible el acceso a la Base Naval

On the occasion of the Naval Aviation Centenary main events which will take place at Rota (Military Event on 15th September at Rota Naval Base, and Aero-Naval Exhibition on 16th September, Playa de la Costilla beach, Rota), all media and photographers who so wish will be authorised to take photographs of the aircraft involved in said events on Thursday 14th September at 15:30. The aircraft will be static.

All media and spotters interested in making this visit must obtain accreditation no later than September 14th at 10.00, at the email address as follows:

They must indicate:
Name, surname and National Identification Card or passport
Media company for which they work or to which they contribute

Accreditations must be shown – after personal identification – at Puerta del Salado, Rota Naval Base (Santa María Port access) on Thursday, September 14th between 15:00 and 15:15.

now,the bookings of plane and car are expensive
i declined to participe at this event
