Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: Open Day 56. Base Inowroclaw, Poland
Also 50 years already ? How long will they keep flying? For what are the tubes on the last picture?
Re: Open Day 56. Base Inowroclaw, Poland
I could be wrong, since it's a long long time since I've seen a Mi-2 in the air, but I believe they could be used to deliver smoke screens by pouring oil into the engine system/exhaust?Goldenflyer wrote:Also 50 years already ? The Mi-2 meet theme: 50 years the Mi-2.. Interesting, the first Mi-2 Świdnik-built example flew on 4 November 1965..Goldenflyer wrote:Also 50 years already ? How long will they keep flying? For what are the tubes on the last picture?
The long tube, the engine right and left side, smoke generator. True: pouring oil into the engine system overhault.
Fast some cloud make, the battlefield, older 1960 tactical, and technik..
but modern electro-optican system and radars and IR, they see through the fogook in the smoke..
