This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

FFD 09+10+11-07-2016 (RIAT 2016)
Finally found some time to edit a small selection of pictures of my visit to Fairford for the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) last month. I visited the show for three days (Saturday, Sunday and Monday).
In the meanwhile the world wide web has seen many pictures taken during these days. So I hope you don’t mind if I post a small selection of pictures from my side on this messageboard.
Saturday and Sunday pictures are in random order
First some snaps from the static display, let's start with this Osprey
Don’t make this boy angry
Someone thirsty?
Shiny head
Wide angle KIWI
Hair dryer
Lets get over tot he real action: the flying display.
Fully loaded Typhoon operated by BAE Systems
Dutch Apache taking off for their display
Boeing P-8 Poseidon departing for Farnborough Air Show on Sunday evening
Another Eurofighter showing its capabilities
Am I a Helicopter…..
Or a plane?
See you again
Textron AirLand Scorpion leaving for Farnborough
Always impressive to see such a massive plane like the Airbus A400M Atlas perform like a jetfighter
Polish Orlik team
Solo Turk did a weather check on the runway and decided not to fly. A couple of minutes later the Polish F-16 did his own weather check
Always good to see and hear a MiG-29
Still don’t know what to think about the brand new F-35A Lighting II
Anyhow I fell in love with the B block. Not for this sight….
But for the incredible noise that this ‘giant’ produced while hovering above the runway. What a sight it was.
Would have been nice to see the F-22 Raptor here as well…
It did fly on Saturday without the Mustang in the Heritage flight
Seeing the Raptor perform its solo display is already a big plus
It’s getting hot in there!
Bringing stealth to a whole new meaning.
One more of the Raptor
Belgian Blizzard
and ZEUS
Ramex Delta did his last ever performance this weekend. We surely gonna miss this French team
High speed pass
Another Typhoon going up to the sky. This time the Italian AF
Nice backdrop as the Hornet left Fairford for Farnborough
Now some snaps from Monday during the departures
Rare sight in Europe now a days
A pair of Hellenic Air Force Phantom aircraft leaving Fairford.
Hot ass
Front view of the Block 52
Getting ready to open the Farnborough International Airshow a couple of miles to the south.
Get used to this sight as the RNLAF bought a pair of these jets earlier this week
Rafales lining-up for departure
Special Luftwaffe 60 years painted Eurofighter followed by Cyber tiger
Eagles going back to Lakenheath.
Belgian Tiger
arriving to pick up the Solo Turk display team.
Thanks for scrolling the whole end down in your valuable time. I hope you enjoyed.

Nice too see the Elliniki Aeroporia Fantasma still in good condition!
As far as I know the 01504 was also present at Soesterberg, some time ago...

Very nice collection.

Great shots and indeed, not the usual stuff!
Just one suggestion: don't overdo the tweaking...
Cheers,
Rob

Thanks for your comment and feedback guys!!
Thought the more "heavy" edits would suit some of the pictures. But I will have a look at it in the future.

HDR tweaks from photoshop ? I real like the HDR stuff (if not to much overdone).
Or do you use an other program for your tweaks ?
