Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Rumours are they are enroute to Lask. If true, expect departure tomorrow. Don't shoot the Messenger

Nice catch, nice birds!
One small question: is there something with my eyes, the editing or with your gear? On my screen(s, I tried more), the right side of the pictures seems out of focus to me (but the tails are OK... ). Serious!

Might has to do with the light condition and the camera settings, I checkt the EXIF info for 3 pictures, they are:frank kramer wrote:Nice catch, nice birds!

Auto exposure, Aperture-priority AE, 1/250 sec, f/5.6, ISO 200
Auto exposure, Aperture-priority AE, 1/400 sec, f/5.6, ISO 200
Or perhaps a focus point on the tails? I guess that they are also sharpend during post-processing...
But a great catch indead of some rare birds in this area. Love how 89-138/OK came in...

I didn't want to set ISO 400, so I stayed on ISO 200 with F5.6.. And a long length of exposure A thunderstorm started right after they touched down, so the light conditions were very bad.Wijgert IJlst wrote:Might has to do with the light condition and the camera settings, I checkt the EXIF info for 3 pictures, they are:frank kramer wrote:Nice catch, nice birds!
