Current fleet of jets consists of 12 Mirages and 6 Alpha Jets.......so 73 !!! F-15E sounds like more BS to me then before I started to type this

As well as 24 Rafale on order! Perhaps 73 jets in total comprising a mixed order of Eagles and Rafale. Either way, surely they now have a requirement for a new base to be built too?

As with anything in that part of the world, rumour is rumour, and I only believe it when a contract signing has been announced.

Qatar have already ordered AH-64s, MH-60s,NH-90s, E737s,A330 MRTT,24 Rafale and probably a few other types I've either forgotten or hasn't been disclosed.

70 odd F-15s on top of that lot is going to take some build-up.

The UAE next door have done that with a large air force-a large fleet of both Mirage 2000 and F-16s and Qatar are very likely to want to do the same.
