F16 Demoteam 2016

I just looked at the website of de Dutch F16 Demoteam and the next airshow is in 488 days. That means April 2017. Can anyone confirm that we will miss the team for the second year in a row?

No KLu F16 demoteam this year, source was one of the former teammembers

Also confirmed by edehtx. Still a bit of hope for 2017 but nothing for sure yet. Reason given is commitments outside of the Netherlands.

Yes so with other words.. they trying to spare money for on going missions in the middle east... you have to give them some rights.. tho.. there is all ready not much money to spend .. yea and a Demo team if they can spare on that.. decession should be pretty easy for a prime minister... i wonder when the F-35 SOLO Display Team will be anoucned I will volluntair directly

I think we don't have to expect many foreign flying display. Last years it showed that the countries visited by our F-16 send something for the flying display.

Luckily we still have the Apache.

On the Dutch website of the Department of Defence it is confirmed that there will be no display of the F-16 Solo Display Team this year because of the deployment in the Middle East and QRA duties. It is expected there will be a show again in 2017.

But.... Still that's a problem . With the visit of our demoteam "we" created a lot of goodwill. And visits of foreigners in return. With nothing in return, that's no good news for us!

we still have the apache demo team as ambassadors, which (imho) is more impressive to get then another F-16 demo.
