Hsinchu AFB Taiwan F-5E decoys

Post by orange »

Last month I photographed some of the Tiger decoys on the north-west side of the runway from the viewing tower on that side.

From pictures I can positively identify 5171, 5307 and 5330. There is one that looks like 5236 (serial on tail a bit faded) but according to the Scramble database this shouldn't be here? Scramble has 5153, 5221 and 5309 as the remaining decoys.

Anybody else read off 5236?

Thx!

Hi Orange,
Not a Scramble subscriber? ;-) In issue 437 my log of Taiwan was posted, including the six decoys present at the time. There were indeed 5153, 5171, 5221, 5307, 5309 and 5330. No 5236. However, 5153 had 50326 on the tail as well (the former US serial), possibly that's what you saw?
Cheers,
