Campia Turzii Open House

By the way do you know how many Mig-21 and IAR-99 are still actually flying ?

There are 36 Mig´s activ on both bases (Campia Turzii and Fetesti). Next year the first F-16´s will arrive from Portugal. The number of the IAR-99 should be at least 20 at the base in Boboc.

Indeed a nice report!
Actually the number of MiG's is lower. Both Campia and Fetesti (based at MK at the moment) have 10 Lancer-C and 3 Lancer-B each.
As for the IAR-99s, 10 IAR-99 Soim are now based at Bacau with About 9 IAR-99 Standard Boeing based at Boboc. An additional Soim might still be based at Craiova for testing.

Great report! I love to see these oldies still flying and I really like these camouflages.
