The United States Air Force has confirmed the participation of six additional aircraft to the two announced last week.

Joining the static Bell Boeing CV-22B Osprey announced last week will be a second that will perform a role demo in the flying display.

The aircraft, which will be making their UK display debut, are operated from Mildenhall by the 7th Special Operations Squadron, part of the 352nd Special Operations Wing.

Previous demonstrations of the tilt-rotor machine at the Air Tattoo have involved US Marine Corps MV-22B variants.

No flying Czech Gripen (Iceland Patrol now),
it will be an L-159 ALCA jet instead.

Added: a P-8 Poseidon and a Canadair CL604

In addition, new to the Air Tattoo this year will be Boeing's Maritime Surveillance Aircraft. Using as its platform the proven Bombardier Challenger, the aircraft was announced by Boeing during late 2013 and the demonstrator, a Challenger 604 modified by Field Aviation in Toronto, carried out its maiden flight in February 2014.
