Thunderbolts return to Europe

The A-10 Thunderbolt returns to Europe. A dozen tank killers belonging to 355th Fighter Wing at Davis Monthan AFB in Arizona are deploying to Spangdahlem airbase in germany this February. The deployment is part of a Theater Security Package (TSP), according to the US Air Force.

This is pretty fabulous news!

Six month deployments like those in Korea and Kadena is even better than based aircraft! :mrgreen:

Nice, worth a visit to Spang soon would be nice to see those CF188 together with A10's and F16's.

I saw last week at DM 13x A-10C from the 354thFS (bl) with Centank during checkflights. Some ex SP was with them.

The way i see it; Article states that the Hogs / deployment will be in place by the end of the month.

All belong to the 354th FS, many ex 81st FS birds involved

Ed to the testflight with Fueltank also:
81-0991 DM
82-0648 DM
