On Thursday 2 October, 12 US Marine Corps F-18s should arrive at Lakenheath. They will come in two flights. The first six will arrive at 15:00 with a C-17. Second six at 15:30 with a US Marine Corps C-130. On 3 October, six F-18s will fly to Lossiemouth and will return on 8 October. The remaining six will stay at Lakenheath but may be flying. On 9 October at 09:00, all 12 F-18s and the support aircraft will depart Lakenheath.
