Drunk? You got to be kidding me, if I ever did that they would have put me in front of a firing squad! And I would have gotten of easy.

I left my opinion a bit open since I wasn't sure what the reaction was going to be. (testing the water a bit) but yeah.... This was pretty bad. Basicly we left aroun 17:40 and then they decided to do the rehearsal of the Swiss airforce. It s*cks to hear that Ramex did their rehearsal at 19:00.....

I must admit and staying political correct that I feel a little betrayed. When the spottersday was announced it was said that they would do something extra for the spotters.

Compare this to previous spotterdays at KB or even anywhere else.....yeah. Then again, it was wrong of me to get my hopes up.

Ehm.... anyone hear anything about the A400 arriving or being at the airshow?

Visited the spottersday hoping to see the Rafale's, the A-400M, Al Fursan and the HAF / TuaF F-16's. The first Rafale turned left way before the end of the runway, both Rafale M's arrived to late for me (had to leave at 17:00) and the Rafale demo / AL Fursan /A-400M..ehm..Fortunately the TuaF F-16 took part in a photoflight and the HAF F-16's arrived late afternoon. Almost forgot, managed to get a glimp of the BAF FA-104 in prototype colors (hidden beyond public access), yeah!! To pay a lot of euro's for this event was a big waste of money and after that not even the toilets were free of charge..

All in all very disappointed but at least the weather was nice...

NO, unfortunately not. It took at least 10 minutes till he understands, what i was looking for. Beer and Music, that seems to be his only target during the day! (He smells like having had more than a couple of 'em............)

By the way: anyone for the reason of the cancellation of the Slovak MiG on Saturday?!

Wow that's some kind of brilliant behaviour to foreign country participants. I'll bet, neither the Hellenic nor the Slovak's will return in the future to sent a flying act to a Belgian Airshow.
Should have been a great tour for ZEUS. Had to divert to Aviano on Thursday due to some probs; stuck around till late Friday, had almost the last rehearsal slot and was given a red card.

I have to say again: BELGIAN AIR FORCE Show Organisation :yourock:

I believe they told that the F16 was cnl due to cloud base on saturday(if this is true then its the same for the Mig29)

and the event was a little bit expensive for what you received. I had to pay €40 at the gate!!!!( couldn't buy earlier) I found it a shame!!

I read about the red card for Zeus here .
No mention though for Mig29 which would be my error. So no clue on why they were Canx.

I visited the airshow on Saturday and the only things that really bothered me were the enless stream of VIP-cars passing in front of you, having to pay for the toilet (while having paid a steep entrance fee) and the high prices for food & drinks. Reading the comments I am glad I did not register for the Spotters Day.

Remarkable if that red card story is true, as the Greek did fly on Sunday....

I don't like complaining about airshows and all, but this I have to totally agree with. I don't mind paying something like 20cent for a toilet visit, but 1,50 is just too much. Also, I was on base too short to pee that much. In other words, I picked out a tree. I am just sorry for all the ladies that don't have that option....

Sjeez, that is just plain awfull. Grounds for an immediate discharge I should think.

But the weather was good so it had that going for it which was nice.

Oddly enough airshows.be is still offline, maybe Von Smallhausen probably threw himself of a bridge after seeing this.

While I appreciate the Belgian Air Force that they organize spottersdays, friday the twelfth was a real disaster.
I expected more for € 30,- or € 40,- we had to pay.
Compared with earlier spottersdays at Kleine Brogel it was a big disappointment.
Between the buses, tankers, taxies and cyclists occasional a plane passes.
The main reason for me visiting the spottersday was Al Fursan but I have not seen any plane of the team.
In my opinion a spottersday is the opportunity to see aircraft close by and photograph with a small lense (driving and flying).
The spottersday of Friday 12 September was no more than a very bad air show.
Too bad!

Because of the entrance fees and the expected aircraft I decided not to go. When paying this amount of money I want to be spoiled!
