Announced on the NTM site, the Tiger Meet 2015 will take place in Turkey and is planned in May next year :
The NATO Tiger Squadrons will reconvene next year in May at Konya AB, where NTM’15 will be hosted by 192 Filo of the Turkish Air Force.

Maybe he meant to much money to spent for a trip? For one trip to Konya you can probably do several trips in the neightbourhood with more variaty.

If you can fly to Konya cheaply, then Turkey is cheap enough!

Return Rotterdam - Istanbul - Konya with Turkish is 264 euro at the moment (at Vliegwinkel.nl) for that period. Bet you will be able to get it for much less in a few months time. I'd say return for around 180 euro. Doesn't sound too bad.
