Good evening,
I spent a total of three days down at Mont de Marsan to witness the official withdrawal of the legendary Mirage F.1 from service in the French Air Force. A total of four Fox Ones received a special camo for the final retirement ceremonie. After all a well organized but quite sad event. A big thank you to the organizers!

Excellent! Must have been over 30 years or so ago, but once I saw a documentary on a french F1 squadron, no clue anymore what exactly about, only know it ended with a (fake?) bird strike. Anyway, ever since been a fan of the aircraft. Something about it, shame to never see it again.

Great shots and will be sadly missed, although they are still flying at other 'less accessible' Air Forces.
That was 1980 and the name of the 1 hour documentaire is 'Orange est vert'.Excellent! It was shot on Orange indeed, knew that! Didn't know it was shot in 80, for sure that wasn't when i watched it but thanks for the title, I'm gonna try and see if I can find it somewhere. I know I must have it on a betamax videotape somewhere... lolThat was 1980 and the name of the 1 hour documentaire is 'Orange est vert'.
