Santiago de Chile & surroundings (photo),Day 5 Navy
Last Thursday we flew to Chili (via Buenos Aires). The main purpose is FIDAE 2014.
Friday we visited this event. The weather was great and we were able to take some nice pics. Here are a few of them. Hope you like them.

Santiago de Chile and surroundings (photo), Day 2 Carabinier
Thanks for the comments. Yesterday (Saturday the 29th) we did a little wreck and relics tour before visiting the Carabinieros. They were very friendly and proud! We also had some flight activity but those pics are stored on another card. I will show them later. I tried to put a pic of each type (except the B.206 which was covered). The O-1 we saw in the morning at the glider airstrip (which is situated in between 2 highways….). At the end of the day we went to the Airport in the hope we would see a FAdC B.737. It came in around 17.00. It was a nice day (but without any spectecular pics).
Today (the 30th) we visited the show again. It was great. We were able to walk to the helicopter flightline with all different colours and types. Also the low level KC-135 take off is great. I will try to put them tomorrow (after we visit “departure day”).

Santiago de Chile and surroundings (photo), Day 3 FIDAE
Yesterday we visited FIDAE again. We did not expect much because of the massive crouds but it turned out to be a nice day. The guards let us in via the Air Force entrance in the morning. That allowed us to walk to the flightlines. During the day we relaxed. At the end of the show (around 17.30) the sweep came. We were able to dive it and found ourselves almost alone at the base. We stayed until sunset.
Tomorrow I will try to put some pics of the departure day (that we saw today).

Kroist, that rather low "KC-135E tanker pass" indeed...

http://i.imgur.com/QcDTkmf.jpg is a rather rare occasion to see an F-5E nosegear leg extended in the "longest position"...

Santiago de Chile & surroundings (photo),Day 4 FIDAE departu
Thanks for the comments again and CJ, it was nice meeting you. The KC-135 take off was very unexpected for a 55-60 year old aircraft!
On monday we (forgot to set the alarm clock and) arrived at a cloudy Airport around 9.30. Luckely almost no aircraft had left.
The weather was cloudy/sunny/bright/dark/..... hence the difference in the quality.
Almost all aircraft took off from the left runway until the F-5's, F-16's, Impala and Army props taxied to the right runway all of a sudden. There are very nice spots there along the run- and taxiway but we could not reacht them (roadblocks...). We ended up with backlight but the shots turned out ok.
Around 12.00 most a/c had left and we went to do some spotting at the Army base 1 hour south of Santiago.
It was a nice day again.
