Part 4, Nellis: US AZ and NV (pics). A week in the sun?
Thanks for all the nice comments. After a cloudy day at Nellis yesterday we were lucky today. Sunshine and activity!
We just drove 5 hours and arrived in El Centro. So fingers crossed for tomorrow..... But clouds are predicted but we do not complain, the week is already great.....

Great variety at Nellis of course. Good luck at El Centro. Great shots on either side of the base! You can also shoot great banking shots of incoming aircraft on the east side.

Part 5, Yuma: US AZ and NV (pics). A week in the sun?
Today we had a nice day at El Centro and Yuma. In El Centro the BA's made 2 long runs (boring) but before and after there was activity with some of the 24 F/A-18's and some other stuff. The helicopters form VX-9 were a nice suprise!
When we arrived at Yuma two F-35's came in. There was a lot of activity with a lot of different types. Canadian CH-146's, KD AV-8's, HH-60's, C-12's, a C-130J, a Canadian Hornet (from Luke?), F/A-18's, MV-22's etc.
After dark we celibrated the day with a big steak! More pics will follow.

Thanks for the nice comments. In my last mail I deleted/replaced some pics because a spotter commented that there was infrastructure in the background of Yuma (which is not done). I forgot about that.
Last friday we spent another day at Yuma. As expected it was more quite but we had to be patient to get some "good" (with no infra) shots of the CH-146's.
We succeeded a bit and were happy with some other visitors. In the evening we drove to Vegas to catch a flight to Philadelphia. From there we made a little museum tour around Washington.
In the end we drove al lot of km's (almost 4500) but saw a lot of nice planes!
