Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

I think you've made a mistake as this machine is owned by TWIN OTTER INTERNATIONAL LTD. This is also indicated by the logo on the tail which is from this company. So less interesting owner from a military perspective.Stratofreighter wrote:Twin Otter N723AR indeed has a rather interesting owner :

IMHO the vistaliner is way different form the catch above.
And given this link, I would say it is to become a Vistaliner (or twin otters only provides the technical services...), but for the moment its still a nice catch!!
Twin Otter International buys Twin Otters, converts them to "Vistaliners" and leases them with full parts and technical support to airlines and tour operators throughout the world.

Regarding N723AR, can't recall seing her in Mes, Afghanistan. However, Believe we did saw a Twin Otter but can not recall his Id.
several other a/c with N...AR did visit and were (appearantly) EP Aviation LLC using tactical Callsigns
This company was formerly known as Blackwater.

Re: Amsterdam Schiphol EHAM/AMS 02-01-2014
Why would this specific one become a Vistaline and why would it be for SN? They have about 20 Twin Otters in service and not all are Vistaliners. They also provide research services accoring their website; http://www.twinotter.com/aerial.htm . so I would say this a/c has been in use for some survey work somewhere east under contract. It's been in sevice with them for more than 10 years and yes it has been used in the past for work with SN.Flyboy wrote:source: http://www.twinotter.comTwin Otter International buys Twin Otters, converts them to "Vistaliners" and leases them with full parts and technical support to airlines and tour operators throughout the world.

Stop moaning guys, the Otter is a great catch and when the Januari movements are due, the Scramble editorial team will decide who the current operator is
