Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Greek Phantom heaven Andravida

Post by Sjaak »

Just returned from a successful 4aviation trip to Greece. To start with here's a few images from Andravida where 338MDV and 339MPK fly the F4E. Visiting was 7491 an RF4E from 348MTA at Larissa
As usual to get a full size view of the pic, click on it to link to planepix.nl, followed by another click to view full size. There's more to follow......Enjoy :D

Great :)

If I may ask, when did you enter the base (which time)?

We first arrived early afternoon to get some operational stuff, then left for a quick visit to Araxos as some static aircraft still had to be put on stand
and returned after 1600h.

Nice pictures but I notice that the RF4's are painted different as the F4's.
Is that for a special reason?

Thank you Sjaak :)

So, they were late with setting up the static. I wonder what did the people who visited before noon, see :D

Gonzo, this particular RF-4E is painted in a simmilar way to the original US-delivered RF-4E in SEA camo. It is one of the ex-GAF birds and was painted at HAI. If you look closely, it´s not exactly the same camo like on the US planes ;)
