Hanoi Noi Bai (VVNB/HAN) 2013 MIL

Post by tally »

Hello,

Noted the following at Hanoi Noi Bai.

Nov 6 a unknown C-17 on the ramp as we taxied in after dark.

Nov 9 during departure revealed the following Su-22's:
Blue c/s: 5858, 5873, +1 unk.
Gray c/s: 8502, 8504, 5814, 5819, ...5, +1 unk.
Green/Brown camo c/s: 8554, +1 unk.
There were a few more but during take-off could not ID the rest.

In addition there was IL-76 RA-76638 from the 224 Flight of the Russian AF.

If you ever get to enjoy Hanoi ask the airline for a window seat. Left side preferred with east winds. We took off from rwy 11L and got offered a "line-up and wait." Absolutely perfect to snap some pictures of the revetments.

Cheers,

Tally.

Your C-17A would have been 05-5148 HH or/y REPAT64 from the Hawaii ANG.
Drink treble
See double
Act single
