Gilze Rijen Aviation Society had organised a visit to the Royal Dutch Air Force Historical Flight (SKHV) yesterday. And blessed with nice
weather, lots of aircraft and very friendly staff, it turned out to be a great visit!

Aircraft marked * had their CofA expired recently.
Confirmed are two Fokker S-11s plus two Harvards in deep storage, which should be E-6, E-24, B-181 and B-184. Not seen were Piper Cubs R-124, R-177 and R-181.

Piper Cub "R344" is not part of the Heritage Flight, but should be based at Seppe. C/n 11990 was read off from the plate (photoproof), but in the books c/n 12162 is given. Is one of these a frame number? And the same question for the Auster. A plate on the frame has TAY6111, but the books give c/n 344. What is the significance of the TAY-number?
And finally: where is the c/n plate on Noorduyn built Harvards??

There where some parts ( wings and tail) from the former F-27 C-5 serial still readable in the shelter where the S-14 was.
According the friendly guy the fuselage was submerged somewhere for scuba diving pleasure but he didnt know the location.
The parts where al up for scrapping as they where rot as can be.
