Hello everyone,
In the last 2 weeks I was on holiday with my family in the region of Dordogne and Lot. There aren't so much air traffic here but I saw there the following:
19 aug.
At Salle-Domme aeroport (between Salle and Domme) is een fouga preserved on poles. At the other side of the road is a BA of the FAF with radars.
CM-170 no serial, in PdF colours and has a badge of BA265 Rocamadour.
Robin R2160 F-GAXE Civil
Robin F-PYHO Civil
Cessna 172 F-BXQI Civil
20 aug.
Above Thage (in the neighbour of Gramat) we saw there a Robin flying.
Robin DR400 F-GCAT Civil
21 aug.
This day we wanted to go the airport of the city Brive. At home I thought that the airport is at the western side of Brive de la Gaillarde, but we found only the name: Brive de la vallee de Dordogne and it was very far of Brive town. It looked very new with a new runway. We saw there a Xingu flying, which was doing some runway excercises:
Emb.121 Xingu 072/YA EAT00.319 FAF
27 aug.
This day we wanted to go to Montauban. It's a storage depot of the ALAT and at the other side of the road some ramps and the local aeroclub is located here too.
We started this day with a Gazelle on a roundabout on the Rue de Paris in frond of the L'Eclerc and Mc Donalds. Its a former gate guard of the airbase. You can see it when you leaved the A20 exit 60.
SA341F 1629/MNT Preserved ALAT
Then we went to the gate. It's a very terrible site to see the preserved gate guards. We caught only the first onces, because there a lot of threes after the gate. We saw there the following (both preserved)
Alw-2 2145/RAS, is left of the gate behind the gate room
SA330B 1121, right side
The N3202 you can see it from the other side on the stairs of the tower of the local aeroclub and I saw no markings only that he was yellow. It stays on poles.
N3202 (16/MDZ) ex FAF.
Further we saw the following:
SA330 1049/DAE NB FArmy (flew in the afternoon)
PC-6 890/MCD ECTM FArmy
Behind the "rolling gate" next to the little tower is a Gazelle without any markings and it saw burned. Any one the serial?
We lunched in the centre of Montauban in front of the monument and the army barracks with the Red Barrets. I saw there a Puma in desert colours. You can see it only when you past the western gate when it's open and not from the gate at the D927 to Moissac. Is this the 1085? It stays between some building and you can't fotograph it because the reason is the security.
SA330 (1085)/JPS preserved ALAT
Cheers,
