Spent an hour at Aberdeen International Airport with Mark before catching my train back to Edinburgh, I hoped to catch the NHS S-92 and AW-139 and wasn't left disappointed! The weather was pretty miserable and incited slow shutter speed fun. We lucked out in the end and bagged a few surprised too!
1. Mark noticed the 'Best of British 2012' Embraer ERJ-135 of Eastern Airways taxi-ing to the runway so we went round to the mound. I've seen this jet a few times but never caught it which is why I played it safe with the shutter speed.

2. LN-OED was on the pan, soon to be joined by LN-OEC who arrived minutes after arriving at the mound.

3. Both the S-92s and AW-139 from NHS have rather nice colour schemes!

4. Then shutter speeds started to get daft with 1/30th of a second.

5. 1/40th as I caught my first Bristows S-92.

6. Back up to safety for my first Bristows AW-139.

7. Some nice vapour around.

8. Finally, a wee treat from KLM Cityhopper who sent their Skyteam ERJ-190!

Great pictures.
Are these choppers for transporting personnel to the oil and gas platforms in the North Sea?

Sure are, the companies involved are Bond, CHC and Bristows. A mixture of EC225, AS332L2, S92 and AW139 are used.Torchus wrote:Great pictures.
