hello i am planning a trip to taiwan as any one have the names of hotels that over look these bases
hualien
taitung
hsinchu
any help would be great many thanks howard

Hotel in Hualien is the Le Cheng Hotel. As far as I now there are no hotels overlooking Taitung or Hsinchu.

I didn't stay near the airport but at Hualien you can go up the Carrefour, if you walk up the ramp of the parking garage you can walk all the way to the roof.
From there you can see the airport and the road going to the mountain.

There is a nice museum in Kaohsiung's Gangshan District (岡山).

There seems to be a hotel overlooking Taitung AFB. Thanks to Mark Rourke for the website: http://www.seabay.com.tw/

Unfortunately it is only in Chinese.

I've been expelled from that parking lot on more than one occasion.Caution is advised if you are on the top floor.
