Nope. We parked our car saturday at the Barracks and the stand was empty. The F104 and F4 are still present though!

I'm not 100% sure about 45+49, but I am about 44+08. I read the serial and recognized the special cs.

The TF-104G is 29+09 and located just behind the main entery. I have not seen the F-4, except some tails of F-4s being used as roadmarkers and saw the UH-1 when returned to the base next to a pile of external fuel tanks.Arjan wrote:Nope. Bit of a mix up here: Arjan is talking about the preserved aircraft in nearby Aurich, not at Jever.

Yes, that's correct Elmer. I was talking about Aurich in reference to the remark made by Iroquois

For the book keeping: that's an F-104F, not a TF-104G.Hurricane wrote:...The TF-104G is 29+09 and located just behind the main entrance...

Re: Jever (ETNJ) - 2013 MIL
have received updates to the Scramble database in which 45+36, 45+40 and 44+08 were reported as well.Iroquois wrote:evhest wrote:If this was same hanger we saw....... Not sure about the first one, but the other were actually 45+49 and 44+08 in special colors.Iroquois wrote:On 29 June the following airframes were in a hangar at Jever airbase. The hangar was near the carpark for Wittmund airshow.
45+36 Tornado IDS
45+40 Tornado IDS
46+08 Tornado IDS
Isn't 44+08 preserved at Aurich anymore? I remember the Tornados had a red cover on the serials so they could be misread. Are you sure about 45+49 instead of 45+40? Maybe someone else can confirm?

Stefan
Re: Jever (ETNJ) - 2013 MIL
Found this version on MSF:
45+36 should still be in the former navy camo c/s
45+96 should still be in the camo c/s (green/green)
Regards,
Stefan
The solution to whether 45+36 or 45+96 was in the hangar might be its colour scheme indeed;Hangar (53.537948,7.883592)
44+08 Tornado IDS stored "JbG-38" spec c/s
45+40 Tornado IDS JbG-33 mrks, stored (or o/h?), navy camo c/s
45+96 Tornado IDS JbG-33 mrks, stored (or o/h?), camo c/s
