"71 Lucky Spotters" - Wittmund Spottersday today
Hi everyone,
Today I was one of the lucky 71 to get on base. The "Phirst Last Phlight"event was well organized. Too bad the weather gods were not paying attention..... It was very hazy almost all morning, and only a few milky rays of sunshine. Too bad, because now all flying had to be done IFR, which offers limited photo options when it comes to fly by's and steep climbs.
At the platform the sunshine turned for the better, but out there too many spotters tried to get a better spot than others and keeped stepping closer until a 17mm lens was just too big to get the whole aircarft in the picture. This really makes me fear for the main spottersday.
I was happy to attend today's ceremony and managed to photograph anice variety of aircraft and positions.
Here is my selection of shots I took. Hope you like them.
Cheers,
Iwan

Re: "71 Lucky Spotters" - Wittmund Spottersday today
and my personal guess is that 30+97 followed them in the afternoon, because it departed NN and did not return.

Hi Kier,
I have no clue if the EF2000's were already based here, or if some / all of them were visitors.
Cheers,
Iwan
