Lousy day at Ramstein, including two over active MP,s who told me to leave!? "its not allowed to look ad any of our assets"
where is the Politzei when you need them?

I was there on the 1st of March this year and i've seen nobody that came to me this whole day.
No MP and no German police, so it's strange that they (MP) asked you to leave.
At which side of the airbase were you this day??
I was staying at the west-side. There is an footpath under the head of the runway.
I think this is one of the best places to stay.
There you are +/- 20m from the fence, so they can't tell you to leave.
You can get there to take exit Ramstein-Miesenbach, go to the left on the L363 and follow the way to the right to the entrance of the Airbase. At the roundabout you can go to the right and you can park your car at the left or right side of this small road. Then you've a nice view at the head of the runway. From there you can take the footpath to get an view at the platform and you can make nice pictures of landing and starting aircrafts.
I hope this will help you when you're going next time to Ramstein.

P.S: Some of my photos that i've made at Ramstein can you see at my website. I had bad weather this day, misty, cloudy and cold but with a lot of aircrafts.

Well, I have been coming to Ramstein sins 1991 so I think I know how things work. I was near spot 1 in the airfield guide, well away from the fence. I tried to talk to them, but decided it was not a good idea to start an argument whit two kids with a machine gun (no kidding, the carried a huge gun !)
So I spent the rest of the morning at the other side,

You had bad luck than that day....Normally US police were send if you were spotted by people on the tower and if they will formally ask you to leave the Polizei has to come....
But yes engaging with machine guns.. That' s another situation.....

Never let yourself be sent away by Americano's even If they carry guns. Be polite and ask them to call the Polizei. They will let you stay where you are. As long as you are not on privat property.

Have been there since 1994, never had any problems with " the law " . But it's of no use to argue ( discussions etc. ) with police / security german nor american. It will only result in negative energy and cost you some of your (probably spare) freetime.
They only do their job. And who knows what reasons they have for the actions they take, at the time they take them. It's highly unlikely it's just to F... Up our ( spotters ) day !

Try to position yourself in their shoes ;

Keep your distance, act normal and keep the area clean ... ( Those have been my ingredients since 1994 ... ) And know back to topic 22-04.
