Spottersday and Open day Wittmund 28/29 June 2013

Yes, there will be flying activity on the open day with some Phantoms in the afternoon. It will be the last flying performance of these beautiful spooks. Also one or two Eurofighters with JG-71 markings wil fly together with these old birds; old and new together for some flypasts. No demonstration flights.

Nothing else will fly; only static work.

A friend of my spoke today with JG71.
Roughly translated this was the message:

"There is no limit of people on the spotterday and that they are justing have a lot of work. Specialy they get a lot of telefon calls concerning registration at the spotter day. Please give them time and if you dont have the confirmation in May, please call only then!"

Just wondering, if anyone knows the answer. The spotterday is for the afternoon of 28th (13-17 they say in the confirmation).

Is the 28 the arrival day? or most of the visitors will arrive on thursday 27th?

The organisation has confirmed they will post arrival dates and times on their Facebook as soon as they know. Nothing posted so far, so ....

I'm sure someone will crosspost here as soon as any info is available.
