Sywell - ORM - 2/9/12 - CIV

Post by Indiaecho »

Hi,

Not much to do on these cold days apart from catching up on sorting out the backlog of photos from last year.

One of the 'must do' events on the calendar for me is the LAA Rally at Sywell, will attracts several hundred aircraft each year. In 2012 I was only able to attend on the Sunday, and although by the time I arrived aircraft were already starting to return home, there was still more than enough of interest.

G-AWYI was one of the firstaircraft I saw:-

G-BBMH:-

There were plenty of Vans aircraft, including G-BZWN in this stunning paint scheme:-

There were several international visitors including SE-XXX from Sweden:-

G-FORZ brightened things up a little:-

G-AXIE was one of several Pups:-

The Tomahawk is becoming an increasingly rare aircraft:

EI-CGH was one of several Irish aircraft present:-

One of the great things about the event is the opportunity to see the many aircraft that live in Sywell's hangars - this photo of G-SYFW suggests I need a more powerful flashgun though:-

In hope the photos are of interest - loads more at http://www.flickr.com/photos/indiaecho/
