Re: NEW SCRAMBLE WEBSITE
Hiya!
However, that's not why I'm posting. For some reason I became entangled in an old instance of the forum (not updated since mid September) under scramblemagazine.nl (I can reproduce under URI http://www.scramblemagazine.nl/forum/). You might want to close/redirect/disable or otherwise jam that entrance... Login out there also ends up in a blank page in a way that suggests a PHP error.
Grtz,
Rw
Still, it would be handy to use the right wildcard characters ('%' is indeed the SQL wildcard for an undetermined amount of characters, and '_' is the correct wildcard for 1 character) instead of quoting the 'world standard' wildcards '*' and '?') in your explanation.Mark wrote:Quoting from the database search page, just below the search boxes:KIER wrote:that was never the way before , so if it is now , then it should be placed as a notice at the database pages.wamovements wrote: Try '165%' iso '165'

"The aircraft serial and constructionnumber are initially searched as an exact match but wildcards (*,?) are allowed. Wildcards are also possible in all other fields."
The reason we implemented it this way is to make it possible to search for short serials like '1', etc. without hitting the search limit.

Re: New website > comments, bugs etc
Hiya!
Just out of curiosity: it seems like the subscriber search results have actually been curtailed, as they now only show 30 results (I believe there used to be 60). Is there still a reason to log in for the (Mil) databases then? (And why has this been curtailed?)
Grtz,
Robert W

Yes! As you know we are an organization based on volunteers, so it can take some days.efa78 wrote:sorry for the coordinates, the spotter point will once again be visible?
So a little bit patience will be appreciated!

Just a heads up on some little things I came across ;
When reading a topic on the forum , and deciding to make a reply to a message when I'm not logged in ,it is sending me back to the beginning of the whole forum when log in is made , and then you have to go back searching for the topic you was replying at.........little annoying
And.........every airfield in the Order of battle has a strange scroll bar at the map and airfield location.
Another two of my pennies.
