whats the purpose of the camera dome on the chinook? Flir?

Glad to see these new Chinooks retain the more formal looking classic fonts, rather than the informal 'happy' round fonts used on the KLu's Herc- and DC.10 fleets!!

Well, as this was the first handover of a CH-47F from DMO (Dienst Materieel Organisatie) to the CLSK (Commando LuchtStrijdKrachten) it wouldn't surprise me a bit...
She is "Head of the Air Transport, Unmanned Aircraft and Tanker Branch & WSE bij Defence Material Organisation/Air Systems" nowadays, right?
Some very nice photography considering the circumstances, BTW!
