Just heared on scanner Breitling Jet Team on tower frequency saying one plane with engine problems and pilots ejected safely.

Anybody more on this?

Frequency heared was 122.500 MHz.

They just had a hand-off from DutchMil.

I also can confirm the pilot (leader) mentioned seeing two parachutes.

'Police 04' now talking to Eindhoven tower. The CTR-boundary of Eindhoven runs through Valkenswaard, so part of the search must be in Eindhoven's CTR.

Reports and logs on several internetfora from the Dutch province of Brabant indicate that the engine blew up just south of EHEH and the crew ejected (apparently safely :D ) soon afterwards, the aircraft crashing in a farmers' field near Valkenswaard. The tail is recognisable but the photo's for now are from too far off to identify the aircraft.

The photo shows a big number 2 on the tail, so it must be ES-YLS

Very unfortunate alltogether....

Q?: Although I know it (just) might be wishfull thinking, as the B52 probably needs a longer track to position for Sanicole (or not?): Anyone of you considering it might overfly Brogel (first)??? (or have some info on 'details'? -take it it'll overfly only once??.....)

Tvm indeed!

According to http://www.kbspotting.be/phpBB3/viewtop ... 97&start=0 at one stage all spotters at Kleine Brogel were indeed sent away by police on "Airshow-Sunday"... :?
