This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Hehe, lucky me. I managed to catch the Gazelles under resonable conditionsL.M.B. wrote:You also mentioned you missed the Gazelles on most of the occasions this weekend. I'm surprised at that, because on sunday there were a few great passes that even the Legging King would have appreciated

Like Stipjes wrote, the press day was a farce with thousands of spectators and no facilities to speak of. However, we did well for ourselves in the end, I'd say.
Kudos to the previous posters!
Striji MiG.29, smokey turn.
Striji MiG.29 flare shot. A meagre attempt at emulating the one in the Zhukovsky thread....
Striji MiG.29, climb out in full A/B
I didn't know they have flown in Serbian colours to begin with....
Hans.

Wow yes number 16 is a real gem!! Well done Peter!
Indeed, a very Russian minded crowd. Very nationalistic as well, did you hear the applause when the Serbian Mig pilots unstrapped from their aircraft?

Yep, and using a Lumix GH2 camera.W&R wrote:If you were wondering what that little thing was with 5 rotors flying all day at the airshow,
it was a camara divice from a local promotion firm.
They made the following movie of the static and airshow:

After a very disappointing start on Saturday it turned out to be a good weekend after all.
Was great to catch up with so many people!

Y'all,
Well here are some of mine, from outside of the fence on Sunday. Great spot, only the heath-haze was less than perfect...
Definitely one of the highlights:
Not counting out this one:
From a time when aircraft engines where still running on coal:
Too bad the accompanying sound when the afterburner kicked in can't be reproduced here:
With all those Orao's last weekend, and efforts to finally figure out the different variants, I couldn't help thinking back 27 years. That was a time when Yugoslavia was just another sunny holiday destination, with some exotic aircraft (this is Le Bourget, by the way):
Cheers,
Marco
