Batajnica show 2012 (pics)

Today we visited Batajnica. Until now it is not too good for photo's but we hope for better 2morrow. My goal, the MiG21 flying, was realised so I am happy! Hopefully more pics tomorrow.

I am not a wyner, but I guess I had a few lucky shots (24mp, through 2mtr fence). For today this is the only flying pics we were able to shoot. We were late and in the morning there was some other stuff flying. There where thousands of people on the base today. Tomorrow there will be ten of thousands. I heard that today was only for family but I am not sure.
After the flying we waited for most families to leave so we were able to do most of the static without people. This should be possible tomorrow too. The whole press thing is a farse and we took the pics from the fence from which you will be able to do tomorrow so that is good news.

Make sure you bring a case of beer, or box or whatever to stand on from town/hotel/bar!

Today we had a great day. We took a risk by not going on the base but looking for a spot near one of the 2 runways. We were lucky, most a/c came in on the runway we were at;

Thanks for all the nice comments, after all the saturday stress the show turned out very nice.
Today I found a spot in takeoff (outside base) and most a/c left (including the 5 Orao's). I arrived a bit late but others took some great shots, also of an Iraqi Mi.171 that was flying around. I can only show my bad cropped version:

I missed the Gazelles on most of the occasions this weekend but they came over "low" on departure

At Belgrade the Government Falcon was ready for take off

Hey Stipjes,

After checking the internet, the helo we saw at Belgrade this afternoon is indeed reported as a FIAT group toy. In fact, someone suggested you should read the a/c serial I-TIAF backwards....

You also mentioned you missed the Gazelles on most of the occasions this weekend. I'm surprised at that, because on sunday there were a few great passes that even the Legging King would have appreciated:
