100 years Russian Air Force
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

100 years Russian Air Force
Looks like I am the first to show a couple of pictures of this great show.
Really happy that I missed almost three nights of sleep to attend this great event.
Many thanks to all the great people I met in and around Zhukovsky.
Greetings,
Jurgen

Jurgen, great opener from a superb show.Cann't resist to add a quick edit before going to sleep.
I think the 4 Flankers from Lipetsk were without any doubt the highlight of the show so here is one of them.
Grtz,
Hans

Nice shots !
Were you (Jurgen) on the south side of the field?
Live TV report showed lots of backlight from the public side (or rain..)
Please show more!

Re: 100 years Russian Air Force
Looks like everyone is rushing from Schiphol airport to their homes to unload their CF and SD cards on the forum. Can't stay behind...
Congratulations to Jurgen for beating us to it. Not sleeping does pay of... in some way
Although it is still early and I don't know what other great shots will be added in this thread, I'm am cetrain Hans is allready the overall winner: It is a stunning shot Hans. You were right about your flares shot, it is the best timed shot of this year!!!!
Here some of mine:
Opening the airshow each day is an impressive "100" formation and a number of Su-25 Frogfoot (Frogfeet?) painting the flag:
What followed was a very well planned airshow, mixing formations and displays of old and new:
Hope to see many more posts!!!
