Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Nice report, but I see that Emmen has some messy backgrounds. Therefor I like nrs. 4 and 6 the most.
Re: Emmen (LSME) 19th July 2012
@ Bart , yes the background is sometimes filled but still, were in Europe can you get so close to the action ? Emmen is one of my favorit places to shoot and feelt the trill of the afterburners just 5 meters from the centerline....
lining up shots however do have a background...

@goast
Thank you for the great pictures. Unfortunately I have some bad news. The trail will be closed from September during the flight operation hours. The barriers will be replaced by gates. There will be an new trail along the fence. The other road will remain open.
Next week I expect an Antonov 124 (Tuesday) and F-18/F-5 flights. Anyway after the summer break the evaluation of ADS15 begins (there will be spotter days) and in the future Emmen will get a Gripen squadron (according Emmen command and if there will be a tiger replacement).

Re: Emmen (LSME) 19th July 2012
According my last information, there will be normal flight activities in Emmen next week but without the hornet squadrons. That means individual trainings and test/workflights are possible.

Other (older) sources says that there will be only the fly-out of the hornets and tigers (mainly Patrouille Suisse).
Remember August 1 is the national holiday in Switzerland.
