Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: Fun in Japan. Kadena.
Very, very nice! But those borders distract big time. We can not enjoy the full potential of the beautiful photographs.
Re: Fun in Japan. Kadena.
some nice piccies!
No worries about the frames mate, I respect your choice. In certain shots the fading inner right egde does distract me a little though. But,
If one manages to look past the butt-ugly frame of one own's monitor they can surely manage to look beyond your frames also. Right? Right!
For those who dunnut wanna see frames, skip the topic, OR just use CTRL++++ (3x tot 5X). and your issue is solved.
so easy

Re: Fun in Japan. Kadena.
Awesome collection for more than one reason, Motty! One plus is to actually see a considerable number of aircraft move at modern Kadena.
Nice touch is the Eagle with what looks like the official spotting place near 05R in the background!
I too get distracted (much) by the heavy borders and text though. Your fascinating photos struggle to be what I focus on.
Edit:
But let me not allow those frames to be the main subject; the photos are.
Thanks for sharing!
Erik

Edit:
Disagree. I see the photos as Motty presents them (on a fine display without ugly frame, that being irrelevant btw as the next frame up is that of the MB layout, then my browser anyway).Glidepath wrote:For those who dunnut wanna see frames, skip the topic, OR just use CTRL++++ (3x tot 5X). and your issue is solved.

Re: Fun in Japan. Kadena.
Thanks again guys. Glad you like the photos.
Again, wrt the black borders, I appreciate that they're not to everyone's liking and I apologize for that but, unfortunately, it's something I feel is necessary to stop (or at least slow) any unauthorised use of my images (it's already happened before) by the dishonest few that spoil it for the rest.
If I still insist on using the borders (which I do), what is the feeling about me posting any more images from the trip?
Again, thanks for the kind comments and my apologies to those who dislike the presentation.
Cheers,
Motty.

Motty,
It's about the images, not the borders. Therefor keep them coming!

Charles

Re: Fun in Japan. Kadena.
Motty, no need for apologies I think. The choice of presentation is all yours. And like the others, I'd rather have the photos with borders than no photos at all!
BTW, a rather nice alternative could be to use subtle watermarks. Again: all yours obviously.
