A few weeks ago i did a citytrip to London with a couple of my friends. Because i don't visit London every day, i extended my trip with couple days to visit London Heathrow for some planespotting.
After a smooth flight from Schiphol i got the first surprise of the day. Some nice gouverment planes were parked at Heathrow for the Queen's diamond jubiliee.
1. Bahrain 727 & Brunei 747
Then i went to Myrlte Avenue, a great spot for runway 27L arrivals.
2. G-VHOT
3. ET-ALO Ethiopian Airlines in Star Alliance livery
4. TC-JNP
5. G-BNLJ
6. G-EUOH in the Golden Dove livery
7. G-VWEB
8. A6-EDJ
9. G-EUPA also in the Golden Dove livery
10. ZK-OKP, i had hoped for the Black 773 but this isn't bad either.
11. A6-EHH
12. 4X-ELA
Around 3 o'clock the runway's at heathrow switch, so i also moved to the other runway (27R).
13. HZ-AKD
14. VT-ALN
15. Another gouverment visitor: Dubai Airwing 747 A6-COM
16. EC-GUQ
17. Gulfstream of the Bahrain Gouverment A9C-BAH
18. HL7782
19. G-VELD
20. G-EUPC in the "Our moment to shine" livery
21. PT-MUC
22. CS-TFW A340-500
23. A6-EDQ
24. 4K-AZ78
25. N759AN in the Pink Ribbon Livery
26. G-DBCB in the Golden Dove livery
And some shots of Heathrow in the morning.
27. VH-OQL
28. VH-OQL
29. N759AN at daylight

The extension of your trip was certainly worthwhile. A very nice collection of different planes and different operators. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Hello.
Great shots, esp. the evening shots of the Azeri and American.
Where did you take the pictures from the 27L?
Best regards,
Christian

@ Stubenfliege 2, My first set of shots (2-12) are taken from Myrtle Avenue (near runway 27L). The second set of shots (13-29) are shot from the Renaissance Hotel. This hotel stands next to runway 27R (aprox. 300m in between), and when you have the right room you have a great view of Heathrow Airport (and runway 27R).
This is a photo (@24mm) of view.
This hotel is quite expensieve, but (for one night) it's a great experience.
