Oh btw, we read 95_48 on one of the Apaches parked beside the C-5. Maybe(!) this was 85548?

EvD, the 8 Apaches that arrived were parked outside. Visible from the 08 landing where we were that moment. Somewhere near tha hangar next to the one with the Chinooks.

The C-20C 85-0049 from the PAG might have been on it's way to Afghanistan, to support Obama during his visit to Afghanistan. So perhaps it will make another fuelstop on it's way back.

Anyway, it was another highlight of this very interesting day at Ramstein.

Noted late afternoon (between 16.00 and 17.00h) from different spots ( additional helicopters read off / situation in the morning in blue)

hangar (1) / (1):
1x CH-47F
platform in front of hangar (2) / (2):
8745 CH-47F
8071 CH-47F

row left (12) / (11):
_____ UH-60A+ Medco
_____ UH-60A+ Medco
_____ UH-60A+ Medco
__677 UH-60L
__639 UH-60L
__572 UH-60L
_____ UH-60A+ Medco *
__005 UH-60A+ Medco
__678 UH-60L
__691 UH-60L, we read off 631, this is however not correct (likely 691, arrived the week before)
__645 UH-60L
__650 UH-60L, A/3-159 Avn badge on nose (also read off by us in the morning)

In the morning 11 Blackhawks were noted, however 1 Medco UH-60 was parked near the two Chinooks. Likely parked in this row around noon
Just for the record, the Blackhawk marked with a * did not carry a Medco cross on its roof (the other medco's did).

row middle (9) / (9):
_____ AH-64D
_____ UH-60L
__689 UH-60L
__654 UH-60L
_____ AH-64D
_____ AH-64D
__685 UH-60L (also read off by us in the morning)
__676 UH-60L (also read off by us in the morning)
__766 UH-60L (also read off by us in the morning)

In the morning the parking order was 3x UH-60L, 3x AH-64D, 3x UH-60L

row right (9) / (9):
__682 UH-60L
__680 UH-60L
__651 UH-60L, B/3-159 Avn badge on nose
__641 UH-60L
__692 UH-60L, A/3-159 Avn badge on nose
__936 UH-60A+ Medco, read off in the morning only
__075 UH-60A+ Medco, read off in the morning only
_____ UH-60A+ Medco (last 3 on nose faded out)
_____ AH-64D

'fighter ramp' (1) / (4):
Between the hangars 4 AH-64 were seen here in the morning . In the evening only one left (likely minus the 3 that were loaded in the C-5). Around noon the 8 AH-64s that arrived this day were seen towed in the direction of this ramp.

By the way, all four Blackhawks that arrived this day carried a B/3-159 Avn badge on the nose (blue eagle).

_____ AH-64D

Sorry, only nine choppers were parked in this line in the morning as well in the evening. Edited it in above log (I think this makes a lot of you guys happy, a relief you didn't miss a Blackhawk.....).

Are you sure? There is no CH-47 with ending 074 in Europe.
10-08074 is in Savannah.
87-00074 is in Ft. Rucker, Alabama

8.70 is 09-08070.
