Where did you get the serial from? It is not displayed externally on the aircraft as far as I can see.Crizz wrote:The RnoAF have a new F-16AM (686) painted as Solo Display aircraft.

Don't like the paint job (and the commercial for akzonobel)

Whoa! Did they get someone from the '80's to design this paint job? They'll be laughed at during airshows if they perform alongside the Dutch and Belgian demo!

Re: New RNoAF F-16 display aircraft
seen it, hate it, looks more like a scheme from the YF-16 prototype.
and a silver-metallic underbelly, that barely shows anything, both in the air as on the ground.
im sorry, but i was expecting a bit better from the norwegians, lets hope the display is more impressive then the paintjob.
at does have 1 good point.
its easy for scale modelerers to build/paint

Some harsh 'opinions' here, but I wonder how many have seen this paintjob in the flesh before commenting. Probably nobody.
Judging from what I've seen, it's very cool, tastefull and certainly different.... and especially that last part takes some getting used to by a lot - as usual.

Lovely retro colors. Nice bare metal undersite. A relief with all that air brush violence
