Now on base there can be viewed around 40-50 Choppers on Ramp2. Daily some new
arrivals and a few departures (inside C-17/C-5)
Upcoming week(s) even more expected.
Well worth paying a visit and take a good scope 80x and a good spot (Kindsbach or maybe spot 3/4) to read
them.

Re: ETAR now and expected next week(s)
That's correct Jos,
And be aware. Coming monday should be a nice day for US Army fanatics with multiple arrivals and also some good old C-5 arrivals
From the upper Kindsbach Hill you have a better view than the normal lower Kindsbach hill.
Normaly in the Steigstrasse you go right to the viewing point but you can also go left and ride with your car to the top of the hill.
Cheers,
Eric

Thanks for the intel! Was doubting whether to go to SP on Monday but think I'll stay at RS then. Has anyone witnessed some of these choppers do testflights by any chance?

No, they do not doing testflights. They only arrive for transport to the middle east by C-5's.
