These humps on the spine of the F15 are some kind of Satellite Comms set, handy when you have to fly far from your base :-)

You are right, the source for this serial mixed-up with the one in the museum. I will try to find out the right serial...

Hi Dino,

No special arrangements, just taken from the entrence of this revetment. Revetment 1 was not closed like the others were and even allowed to inspect construction numbers if one wanted.

@USAIR, the serial of the Sinaï Blackhawk is (FY83) 0-23855. All logs are posted here on this MB (links to that are on the first page).

And to end this session a few more delights from the storage areas's/revetments.

Revetment 1 overview

Inside revetment 1

Partial overview of revetment 2

A total of 12 H.500MD/TOW helicopters are stored here, most in as sorry state and some even completely covered by bushes.
Image

The final resting place of retired Tsukits?
Image

Revetment 3 contains only Ahits
Image

Revetment 4 holds several Kfirs, as well a single Phantom/Kurnass

Image

This C-47 is stored on the apron next to the two 707's. It looks like if this one was freshly restored.

Thanks for looking!

I know some of you guys went to Israel the last few days because of the 64th anyversiry of the State of Israel. I hope someone also visited Hatzerim Museum and was able to inspect the revetment 1, containing a lot of Ahits. I'm still looking for the serials of 2 of the 4 rear fuselages which I forgot to check while I was there. The two missing ones are (partly) under a cover, as can be seen on the below picture.

I hope someone can help me out here. MTIA!
