Nice shots guys, the mirages will normally fly out next week to Orange or Chateaudun for storage

So hopefully 103/ 103-YN will remain in flying conditions, and as well in its special scheme for at least a few months!! (would be a cracker on the one or the other airshow this summer)

Another lovely airbase gone where just like Reims, no matter where you were at the base or which plane was on the picture, it was always immediately obvious where it was taken. The church of Epinoy or Haynecourt, the typical fields of northern France..
Always been very fond of Dassault designs (few exceptions, Ouragan & Mystere IV), and this day showed both my favourite types: The air-defence 2000's and an F1CT. Although I am not too fond of special colours usually and also we had to wait till around 3 PM for the defile to begin (by which time cloudy weather had set in), but I still had a great time and was glad to witness this final event on this beautiful location that I first visited about 20 years ago. My angle on this very sad occasion, maybe not to everyone's liking but tried a slightly different approach on some (left out the standard side-on taxiway and take-off shots):
I liked the morning sun on this one:
Impressive Rafale demo, almost like an A-10 in terms of agility and violent maneuvers!
After the 2nd flyby they changed positions for the tactical break:
Typical landscape for this area:
Probably for the very last time a 4-ship low over the rwy..
My personal highlight: Fully armed with the old Matra 530 missiles, centre-line tank, no special markings, tight turn after going around:
And then it was over, another one bites the dust. Next stop Orange?
