EHGG - Eelde airport | KLM Asia 772 touch & go!!!
Yes you read it right, touch and go! I didn't expect to see this happen...but instead of going around at around 5-10 ft they touched the runway. I couldn't believe what I saw untill I looked at the pictures. This has been the most epic sunday in a very very very long time! I got pictures and video...so enjoy!

I wander: Why is the crown removed from the KLM logo when it's a KLM Asia livery? Great pics of all of you! Must have been a great day!

The crown is always removed on KLM Asia livery's. This is because of some legal reasons to keep the Chinese gouverment happy. So they can legally fly to Taiwan.
That is a normal procedure during a go-around test.Delta12 wrote:Who else noticed that ALL the gear bay doors are opened??

Because the Dutch government has a good relationship with the Taiwanese government.CoHaBa wrote:I wander: Why is the crown removed from the KLM logo when it's a KLM Asia livery? Great pics of all of you! Must have been a great day!
The Chinese don't like that.
And seeing as KLM is supported by the Dutch government (Royal Dutch Airlines) the Chinese don't want KLM bird to cross Chinese airspace with a crown when flying to Taiwan

Quote from a pilot at another forum:Delta12 wrote:Who else noticed that ALL the gear bay doors are opened??
"During these flights one of the things to test is the alternate gear extension. There is no hydraulic pressure in the system and so the wheeldoors drop down by gravity. Because of the lack of hydraulic pressure these doors cannot come back to the 'closed'-position and so remain open."
