During my stay in British Columbia last year, there was much more to photograph than the Fraser Blues. Below you can find a selection of other interesting stuff I saw during those three months. More photos and a full report can be found on my website www.aviaspotters.nl.
Stand by for part 2, Ontario, which will be ready within hopefuly a few weeks (or months ).
1. Captured this Griffon just before departure after maintenance with Vector Aerospace at Langley Airport
2. Harbour Air is no longer flying to Langley anymore
3. Just love the dark sky
4. The Museum of Flight at Langley Airport. Photo taken from a Robinson R44, just after departure for a nice flight.
5. Sunset somewhere near Vancouver. What a beautiful way to end a hot Summer day in July: joining a night training flight in a PA.34 Seneca around 10 PM!
6. Even helicopters from New Zealand come to Langley Airport for maintenance.
7. A L-29 arriving prior to the airshow at Nanaimo Airport. This was the only jet aircraft I photographed during my three-month stay in BC .
8. Regular traffic at Nanaimo Airport. Just love this taxiway!
9. The airshow at Nanaimo ended prematurely, because the very first performer crashed his plane. Somehow the 71-year old pilot managed to survive the crash
10.
11. A low approach of this Seaking around 8 PM at Langley Airport marked the end of my time in British Columbia.

Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Wow. Never thought that one was still displayed. One of WW2's most beautiful planes.Stratofreighter wrote:The Handley Page Hampden in the corner is looking good!
