Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

OK, there already was a 2011 topic, but where did he call himself the best photographer of the year??

Maybe you got a bit to much to drink last night, better sober up before reacting (JM2C).

PS: I do like the pics too.

He never called himself the best photographer of the year - and so there was already a thread, no need to be such an arse about it.

In fact, you may just want to sit back and enjoy these fine photos and learn how to improve your own photography.

@Faller - thanks for posting these pics, loved the Tiger aircraft!

Hi,
I was (and I'm still) sober. I was wondering why someone starts a new topic. To get more attention? (because "you used to be the greatest photographer")I'm very sorry if I am misunderstood.

The pics are great! Have a nice 2012.

Hi Jacco,

You can start a topic in order to get the attention that you want, the feed back that you need, or the focus that your photos deserve. By adding your photos to the pile of work that has been uploaded in one topic already, you may just seem to be the 13th in a dozen. And to be honest, adding another 10 photos in a list which already holds 500+ photos seems to be just that.

I know of some forums that allow every poster to have their own individual topic for every photo report they make. People who want to show photos from the same day or event just create a new topic with a slightly different title. That way the topic gets the response for the intended photos only. Not too bad, I think, even though the forum may become a bit overflooded with topics.

As for the "Your Top 10 of 2011" topic: It's not the first poster that sets the rules for the rest of the forum, but sets the rules for the rest of his topic. Personally I think that a Top 10 means that you can't make up your mind. A Top 1 or a Top 3 list would have triggered people to think harder about what they show, while now some people seems to be just filling the gaps in order to reach 10 shots.

Tamas, as far as I am concerned, you did the right thing by posting a new topic. I enjoyed looking at them. Please keep posting here, as it's great to see the work from other people that just the Dutch clan of photographers.

Cheers,
Iwan

Nice pictures Tamas! Don't let the comments bother you too much, most Dutch just have a tendency to nag about every little thing :)

Speak for yourself please, as you can see most Dutchies here actually can appreciate the posted images. One negative comment, overruled by 6 positive, i think that says enough. Think twice before you say something like this, it looks like you just want to nag about us dutchies........

<OT>
As I am Dutch myself, I think I can self reflect here. No I don't nag about everything, but you simply can't deny the fact that the Dutch have a tendency to complain about everything. If it's not the weather, then it's about the quality of airshows, the possibilities to take pictures etc etc.

If you feel offended, since you commented, sorry for that. But nevertheless, it doesn't hurt to self reflect every now and then :)
